Migraine Headaches in Women- Natural and Integrative Strategies for Treatment and Prophylaxis

Dr. Hudson will return this year, brought to you by our partners at NFH.

Migraine headaches in women are a leading cause of disability with a lifetime prevalence in women between 16% and 32%. This is 2-4 times greater than it is for men. Migraines have many important distinctions important for the practitioner to determine… menstrual cycle related or not, auras or not, other systemic symptoms or not, frequency, duration and intensity. Natural medicine strategies play an essential role in prophylaxis with a few acute intervention options as well.

An integrative plan is often necessary for acute management, but can also be needed for prophylaxis, especially those that are hormonally cyclic.
